Chez Damian!

Just photos of food I cooked. No re-blogs, no pictures of shop bought or restaurant food, just my own work. If I didn't cook it, photograph it, eat it and love it, it's not here!

Permalink My attempt at Jamie Oliver’s Empire Chicken.  A bit messy & forgot the chopped coriander, but it tasted divine!
Permalink Chongqing Beef.  From “Ching’s Chinese Food In Minutes” book. Quite hot and spicy without going over the top.  Easy to make but the better the cut of beef the better the result.

Permalink So last night’s dinner was amazing!  From Jamie Oliver’s book “Jamie’s 30 minute meals” I cooked “Kinda Sausage Cassoulet”.  Basically Pork Sausages covered in a rich sauce made from butter beans, haricot beans, passata, streaky bacon & herbs such as rosemary and fresh sage further enhanced with lots of garlic.
Jamie’s book “Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals” is packed with easy quick meals which taste absolutely superb.   In practice this dish normally take me more like 45 minutes but it’s so delicious it’s worth the wait.  The sauce is so delicious you could probably dispense with the sausages altogether if you’re watching your weight, just add extra beans.  I seriously recommend this book as an essential for anyone with limited time who wants to eat well!  Every recipe is a winner. Enjoy!

Permalink My take on Delia Smith’s Black Bean Chili.  I couldn’t get black beans so just used kidney beans.
